That Man Bolt (1973)
Director: Henry Levin, David Lowell Rich
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Packaged consumer product, with a black hero (albeit somewhat like Uncle Tom's answer to Desperate Dan - all chin and about as subtle), and a plot that escalates from straightforward thriller (he's an international 'courier') into a fantasy of Bond-like proportions, which ends with Bolt coming on like a one-man army. It's given something of a lift by the now almost obligatory kung-fu influence: Bolt lands up in Hong Kong, taking on the local syndicate villain and a score of oriental pugilists, the highlight being a fight in a firework factory (preceded by a bit of torture by acupuncture) which ends with a large firework display.Author: CPe
