They Were Not Divided (1950)
Director: Terence Young
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Writer/director Young went on to helm the first James Bond offering Dr No, but in this wartime slice-of-life he's on somewhat different terrain. Englisher Underdown, Welshman Brennan and Yank Clanton all join the Welsh Guards during WWII, and the narrative charts their experiences as it swings between propaganda and quasi-documentary and back again. In its day a sound success at the home box office.Author: TJ
