This begins as a thriller about a land dispute that ends in death. It then goes on to pursue the marital life of the lawyer in the case - both she and her husband have been adulterous. Particularly arresting is the scene in which the husband, who doctors images for porn photographers, is cornered by the thoroughness of his own trickery. Standard themes of illusion and their distortion are handled with subtle vindictiveness.Author: LRo
