The Trouble with Men and Women (2003)
Director: Tony Fisher
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
The London Film Festival brochure put this debut feature in the tradition of Jamie Thraves' The Low Down. Fair enough, it's about 20-something Londoners with nothing to worry about but their navel piercings - and Kate Ashfield's in it. Matt (McFadden) is mooning over a broken relationship. His best mate is urging him to get straight back in the saddle, and indeed, his strike rate is impressive, even if one night stands have their perils. But what about true love? McFadden has charm, and the film is nicely directed, making much of the the London location work, which puts many bigger budget movies to shame. But the script is awfully thin.Author: TCh
