Two Hands (1999)
Director: Gregor Jordan
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Would-be goofy crime thriller pastiche which sets up young-blood Ledger (the wild-haired hunk in 10 Things I Hate About You) with Brown's semi-competent Mob outfit, whose $10,000 he instantly loses. A couple of deadbeat dads help on a bank job to make up his loss; and Porter is the love interest. More perplexingly, Ledger's battle-scarred brother looks like he's dug himself up from hell to watch the show. The deadpan tone intermittently hits home, but for the most part the OTT construction - hyperactive plotting, bovine philosophical musings in voice-over, wailing guitars over the soundtrack - just seems crude.Author: NB
