Last Summer in the Hamptons (1995)
Director: Henry Jaglom
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Marginally less irritating than most of Jaglom's work, this nevertheless concerns a gallery of characters you'd probably hate to spend more than a couple of minutes with, let alone a whole weekend in the country: namely, three generations of a pretentious, bitchy theatrical dynasty dominated by matriarch Lindfors, playing host to various friends, including Foyt, a successful but none too respected Hollywood actress hoping to make it as a serious actress. As they mingle, fuck, discuss art and sex, and shift allegiances, Jaglom offers a few insights into family tensions and the relationship between theatre and life, but the attempts at comedy are mostly embarrassing, and the whole thing is typically indulgent.Author: GA
