The Last Supper (1995)

Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
A mordant black comedy with a sharp political edge: If you could go back to 1919 and meet Hitler, would you kill him? This ethical conundrum preoccupies a group of liberal grad students after an unexpected dinner guest turns violent and ends up fertilising the tomato plants. Why shouldn't humanists be more pro-active, they reason, inviting a string of rightwing reactionaries to a hearty last meal. It falls apart, but the cool cast and caustic script will leave most right-thinking people well satisfied.Author: TCh
