Life at the Top (1965)
Director: Ted Kotcheff
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
John Braine's resistible anti-hero Joe Lampton (Harvey) returns in this lacklustre sequel to Room at the Top for another double-edged demonstration of 'making it', this time in the glossier muck 'n' brass world of the swinging south. A slightly curious outsiders' view of British capital culture comes from resident Canadians Kotcheff and writer Mordecai Richler, but it's no great leap from here to the subsequent routine teleseries, Man at the Top.Author: PH
