Light of My Eyes (2001)
Director: Giuseppe Piccioni
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
This is handsomely shot, and nicely played by Lo Cascio as the love-lorn chauffeur Antonio, and especially by Ceccarelli as the long-suffering single mother who becomes the reluctant object of his adoration and kindness. A voice-over in which the driver imagines himself a 'space traveller' takes the material away from Mona Lisa thriller territory towards something more imaginative. But unfortunately director Piccioni and his two co-writers opt for an egregiously sentimental ending.Author: TCh
