Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

A working-class marriage is on the rocks: the partners separate, move in with their respective families, and then tentatively try to make amends. The strength of this modest movie, financed by the Sydney Filmmakers Co-operative, largely derives from what writer/director Stephen Wallace has chosen to leave unstated, and the way in which what seems at first an intolerable bind - especially from the point of view of the wife, authoritatively played by Kris McQuade - is finally revealed to be something much more complex and less pessimistic.
