Lullaby of Broadway (1950)
Director: David Butler
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Amiable backstage Warners musical with Doris Day as an up-and-coming British comedienne and singer who goes to New York in the mistaken belief that mum is a huge star on the stage there. Thanks to sweetie-pie millionaire 'Cuddles' Sakall, the truth is hidden long enough for her to launch her own crack at Broadway. A handful of Gershwin and Porter tunes include 'Please Don't Talk About Me When I'm Gone', but the stuff in between is just so much fluff.Author: TJ
