A middlebrow take on the life of two jobbing jazzers in contemporary New York. Goldblum (stretching for louche) is a married-but-improvising sax player, Whitaker (far more credible) is his trumpet-blowing buddy. It meanders along quite happily, until 'untimely death' intervenes, somewhat unpersuasively.Author: TCh
