Ultimate X (2002)
Director: Bruce Hendricks
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
The march of the danger sport brigade towards international recognition continues apace with the simultaneous UK release of the hip skateboarding movie Dogtown and Z-Boys and this spectacular extreme sports extravaganza featuring, among others, skateboarding 'god' Tony Hawk, innovative freestyle BMX-ers Matt Hoffman and Dave Mirra, plus outrageous freestyle Moto X-er Travis Pastrana. Interviews and soundbites are interspersed with the film's raison d'être, namely its stunning visuals. Filmed almost entirely on IMAX stock, the action-filled 2-D images are so beautifully framed and breathtakingly vivid you can almost reach out and touch them.Author: DA
