Afterlife (1998)
Director: Hirokazu Koreeda
Movie review
From Time Out London
22 assorted, deceased individuals check into a former rural school serving as a halfway house where they are allowed a week to trawl through their memories and settle on a defining moment of happiness which, recreated on film, will become their private heaven. A simple, even slightly obvious idea, perhaps, but the execution is anything but hackneyed or unsophisticated.Author:
