Shark in the Head (2005)
Director: Maria Procházková
Movie review
From Time Out London
Slight but agreeable first feature from animator Procházková, about a middle-aged man who spends most of his time chatting to whoever passes the window of his ground-floor tenement flat; some are friendly, most notably an attractive neighbour with a teenage daughter; others are wary – not altogether unsurprising, since he seems eccentric. Indeed, he’s not entirely stable, as is clear from his fantasies (incarnated by animated interludes)… That’s about all there is, really, to this intriguing but finally fairly insubstantial look at the lonely life of a likeable man.Author: GA
