Who Loves the Sun (2006)
Director: Matt Bissonnette
Movie review
From Time Out London
A lot has changed since wanderer Haas last set foot in his home patch, what with his former best mate Scott now a bestseller with his fluffy first novel. Time has not healed the division between the former and his estranged wife Parker, however, and it’s time for all three to face up to the past - except that it’s not quite as simple as that. Attuned performances and a plot unspooling a whole host of surprises add to the charm of this chamber piece played out in a tranquil lakeside property in Ontario. There’s a whiff of contrivance in the air, yet the delightfully sunny score by Mac McCaughan keeps the mood brightly attractive.Author: Trevor Johnston
