From Time Out New York

A pair of well-shaded performances by Joe Pantoliano and Marcia Gay Harden dignifies a sincere but innocuous look at a blue-collar husband’s struggle with his wife’s schizophrenia on the coast of Florida. Devon Gearhart adds a bittersweet dimension as the couple’s confused, embarrassed and heartbroken son—a role intimately familiar to writer-director Joseph Greco, who grew up with a mentally ill mother. Good intentions abound, but flat direction, flaccid music and unremarkable writing make this drama better suited for a basic-cable weepathon.
