Movie review
From Time Out New York
Harajuku lovers will get a kick out of Japanese box-office smash Nana, a very kawaii celebration of girl power based on a popular manga about two 20-year-olds who share the same first name. One’s a moody, black-clad rocker (J-pop star Nakashima), the other’s a perky, wide-eyed innocent (Miyazaki), and both end up as roommates in the big city of Tokyo. Together, they nurse their bad-breakup wounds and learn the importance of following their hearts—with or without a man. Tweeners, prepare to swoon.Author: Stephen Garrett
