From Time Out New York

Pageant follows the preparations of the glittery contenders for the Miss Gay America tiara. The directors wisely ignore bitchy infighting, focusing instead on the Miss Congeniality community, whose personalities shine brighter than a rhinestone nestled in sweaty, duct-taped cleavage. One such jewel is Victoria “Porkchop” Parker, a plus-size vamp from Nashville who oozes life. Another queen reveals that she used to be a backup singer at Jimmy Swaggart’s ministries, proving that, in Pageant, the devil’s in the details.
