Movie review

From Time Out London

Eckart Fingberg’s animated toddler’s adventure is structured in such elementary fashion that even the youngest child couldn’t possibly fail to grasp its simple premise. Tackling notions of discovery, social responsibility and trust, it tracks the fearless antics of a teenage penguin and his younger sibling who board an ocean liner, help a green parrot save its eggs from thieves and then return to their Antarctic home to tell their ignorant parents that there is indeed life beyond the icebergs. The animation is as basic as it comes and the voice-overs are naff beyond belief. That’s not to say toddlers won’t enjoy the ride. But I pity the parents.
