Movie review

From Time Out Online

A delight, notable primarily for the vivacious, frequently very funny lead performance by Isabelle Huppert, playing a faintly hippyish free spirit who decides to knuckle under and take a job in Ostend – far indeed from the Brazil she dreams of living in – in order to finance her strait-laced daughter’s wedding. While her work – selling timeshare holiday flats – is hardly fulfilling, Babou makes the best of it in her irrepressibly unusual way, ensuring that life is eventful and…  well, tricky. The relationship between mother and daughter (played by Isabelle Huppert’s own daughter Lolita Chammah) is deftly drawn, as is the mostly money- and career-oriented society the protagonist is required to deal with on a daily basis.
