House at the End of the Street (2012)

Director: Mark Tonderai

Synopsis

British director Mark Tonderai’s follow-up to his promising 2008 debut, ‘Hush’, focuses on a teenage daughter and her mother who move into a new house only to learn that the property next door was once the scene of a double murder. Intrigue, one presumes, increases when the daughter (played by the excellent Jennifer Lawrence, who mesmerised us with her performance in ‘Winter’s Bone’) befriends a family member who survived the killings. The film is penned by David Loucka, writer of the recently released home-invasion thriller, ‘Dream House’ and also stars Elisabeth Shue.
