Synopsis

Sacha Bennett, the director of 2010’s ‘Bonded By Blood’, returns with this new film set in the 1980s, the decade of greed, money, privatisation, unions and dramatic media evolution.  The film stars Bob Hoskins and Jenny Agutter, and it concerns a group of friends who decided to put a big stash of money on a racehorse when they’ve been left in fix after a bad redundancy pay out.

Posted on Apr 30 2012 13:05 A really nice "feel good" film with comedy and sadness. Eulogy beatifully done. The film should have been called The Mumper - catch and curious.

Posted on Apr 28 2012 11:28 Are you all on crack? It's complette rubbish!
Badly written, badly shot, unfunny and unemotional nonsense and the lead Calum McNab is unquestionably the worst performance I've seen in a long time.
1 star and that's only because I didn't have to pay to see it.

Posted on Apr 27 2012 17:25 Really lovely film, made me smile the whole way through. Unpretentious, not trying to be anything it isn't and I thoroughly enjoyed it...

Posted on Apr 26 2012 22:14 British: funny and warm. Will make you laugh and cry with relief at the familiarity of the genre if nothing else. Nice observations of 1982 Wapping - great acting. Definitely go and see it.
