Synopsis
‘Twilight’ author Stephanie Meyer’s novel ‘The Host’ gets an adaptation courtesy of writer-director Andrew Niccol (let’s hope it’s more ‘Gattaca’ than ‘In Time’). Saoirse Ronan (‘Hanna’) is Melanie Stryder, a human whose body is taken over by an alien soul from another planet, but who refuses to submit entirely to the takeover. Max Irons has been cast as Jared Howe while William Hurt, Diane Kruger and Jake Abel all take on key roles.
