Imperial Porcelain Factory review Rate it

Sultan Abdulhamid II established Yıldız Porcelain Factory in 1890 at the suggestion of the French ambassador Paul Cambon, to provide a ready supply of fancy china for the Ottoman palace. Today, it mass-produces rather cheesy souvenirs in another splendid building designed by the prolific Italian architect Raimondo D'Aronco.
