The expansion of the House Café group is something of a phenomenon. Since opening the original branch in Teşvikiye (the Ortaköy branch was the second), another nine venues have been added to the list. With industrial-chic interior, from Istanbul super-designers Autoban, all the locations offer lovely surroundings in which to enjoy a mishmash of global comfort food made with gourmet ingredients.

This Ortaköy café has a blissful terrace right on the Bosphorus. Weekend brunch is a fixture for the young and well-heeled. Try the superlative House burger, thin-crust pizzas, imaginative bruschetta and salads. Pint-sized fresh fruit cocktails are a joy to behold and delicious to boot.
