Most of the little local eateries on Güneşlibahçe are indistinguishable, but Çiya is so good - and so successful - that it is taking over most of them. Çiya Sofrası specialises in traditional dishes from around Turkey.

Opposite is Çiya Kebapçı, heaven for kebab aficionados, where chefs in white hats conjure up a mind-boggling selection of skewered meats and freshly made flat breads in the open kitchen.

The interesting starters are on a buffet. Choose what you like and then your plate will be weighed. Mains can also be seen before you buy:stuffed artichoke, meatballs, a fabulous stuffed intestine stew or a bit of everything. Or just let the affable waiters choose for you.

The venues are smart and clean, with tiled white floors, pine furniture, and sepia photos of pastoral scenes. Friendly staff are the picture of brisk efficiency. Do not miss a meal here. No alcohol.
