On a quiet back street near Nuruosmaniye Mosque, just off Nuruosmaniye Caddesi, this café's modern design blends surprisingly well with its antiquated surroundings. With a sister establishment smack in the centre of the Grand Bazaar, Fes Café is something of a local institution.

The fresh-pressed lemonade and mint tea are refreshing after a heavy shopping session. Be sure to check out Abdullah, a little shop in the café that sells gorgeous natural textiles, plus an assortment of olive oil-based soaps.
