Opposite Tünel station, an elaborate iron gate leads to an enchanting 19th-century arcade overgrown with potted plants. Of the handful of cafés lucky enough to share this secret passageway, KV is the largest and most atmospheric.
Couples cosy up on wrought-iron furniture, snacking on cakes or lingering over cheese and wine. Inside, the café occupies three beautiful bare-brick rooms with tiled floors, arched windows, and unusual antiques.
At dusk, the setting is even more romantic, lit by candles and Victorian lamps, with live piano music wafting through the arcade. The music programme is usually from September to March.
Open 8am-2am daily
