Kafe Ara review Rate it
A continental-style café owned by local Magnum photographer Ara Güler, whose evocative black and white shots of Istanbul adorn the walls and place mats. In fine weather, tables in the little alley opposite the Galatasaray Lycée fill up fast.
In winter, the smart, split-level interior buzzes with cultured patrons armed with portfolios, notebooks, or laptops. No alcohol is served, but the fresh-pressed lemonade and milkshakes are great. Snack on sandwiches, pasta, and desserts.
