Istanbul Handicrafts Centre review Rate it
The Istanbul Handicrafts Centre is located in a restored medrese (religious school), opposite the Baths of Roxelana. It now houses a warren of workshops, each with its own specialisation.
The most accomplished handicrafts are the illuminated manuscripts, miniatures and calligraphy. Other highlights include cloth-painting, dolls, ceramics, glassware and hand-bound books. The artists work on site, so you can watch them at their trade.
