Significantly refurbished in 2010, Hotel Niles is owned by the same family who are responsible for the highly regarded Dersaadet. They have been involved in every detail of the renovations, from the authentic Iznik tiles to the design on the hand- painted ceiling.
Each of the ten new suites is based on French-influenced Ottoman guestrooms, done out in light turquoise, equipped with a microwave and hamam-style bathrooms with Marmara marble. Two duplex rooms - with part on the ground floor, part on lower ground - were built using the original bricks with inscriptions in old Turkish script. There's a gym, conference room and leafy roof garden where breakfast is served. Service is flawless.
