One of the latest additions to Beyoĸlu's burgeoning hotel scene is also one of the most stylish. Only the façade of this 19th-century French style Ottoman residence remains intact. Once through the glass doors, Mia Pera is a thoroughly modern experience. Copies of Wallpaper* magazines are stacked next to coloured glass vases on the shelves in the lobby.
Down three steps are the bar, restaurant and breakfast room (the breakfast buffet is excellent). The single rooms are on the small side, but thoughtfully designed. Deluxe rooms are significantly larger and there are also four duplex suites. The highlight, however, is the basement spa and heated oval pool - a relaxing and warming hamam style affair. Massages are available.
