Head chef Murat Bozok worked at Michelin-starred restaurants in France and the UK (including a stint as head chef at Gordon Ramsay's Devonshire), before returning to his native city to open Mimolett, one of Istanbul's new breed of fine-dining restaurants.
The menu is a Michelin-friendly selection of modern European dishes; Turkish twists, seen in dishes such as a lamb chop and sweetbread dolma, bring originality and a sense of place. Quality is incredibly high, and the service flawless.
The opulent, yet modern, interior befits a restaurant of this stature, but the terrace is the best place to take dinner, just as the sun sets and the moon rises over the Bosphorus. Mimolett also has a bar and wine shop.
