There are dozens of restaurants around the fish market by Galata Bridge and on the bridge itself. This one, on the west side of the bridge, is consistently the most popular with locals. Take a seat on the patio out back, under a makeshift roof, and order the anchovies. A large plate of fried fish, two big hunks of soft bread and a small salad will arrive, priced YTL6.
