In addition to being a world-class museum, the Rahmi Koç has a couple of excellent restaurants in the Café du Levant, a fancy French bistro, and Halat, with quayside dining under canvas awnings.
The menu ranges from a 'tea-time' selection of sandwiches and tarts to breaded crab claws and heavenly desserts. Black-waistcoated staff and classical music suggest formality, but the vibe is laid-back. The views - across the Golden Horn to the tumbling orange roofs of Balat - are stunning.
