This vast open-air market surrounds the Fatih Mosque and fills its rambling courtyard. Join the headscarved crowds ever Wednesday to tussle over leopard-print lingerie, surplus clothing and household items.

It also has an excellent reputation for food: expect to find top village produce, including local cheeses, baskets of fresh rosehips and, in season, cornelian cherries.
