What used to be Istanbul's first gay restaurant is now a club, complete with house music, go-go boys and a tiny dancefloor. It's on the fourth floor of an apartment building, and decor is mismatched and glitzy. The main bar is in the former living room and the back room is the place to discreetly make bedroom eyes at your new friend.

I guess TimeOut never updates info they publish. Last time I was in The Other Side in Nov, 2010. The club moved in another location a year ago and now located right on the Istiklal street (second street on the right from Taksim square, just after you pass French consulate). It is on the roof of the building at the corner. Unfortunately, it is getting less and less gay venue and more and more Russian hooker place. Straight crowd outnumbered gay people and Russian girls are seen everywhere. It used to be free admission, however, they charge people selectively. If your face is not familiar to the guy at the entrance he will charge you 25 YTL, price for the cheapest drink there. Drinks are overpriced. They have show, first go-go boy, then go-go girl, then go-go trans. Boys are boring, they are the same dancers in all clubs with no hard on. Girl is hot, looks like Russian to me. The best one is Trans dancer.
