Located 900 metres down the road from Taksim Square, 8 House Residence offers self-catering suites with air conditioning and a LED TV. Free Wi-Fi is available.
Each suite features a kitchen with refrigerator, stove and a tea/coffee maker. Bathroom includes a shower, bathrobe and a hairdryer. Some rooms have a balcony and sea views.
Istiklal Avenue, with its bustling shops, cafes and bars, is only 400 metres away. St. Anthony of Padua Church and Cicek Pasaji (Flower Passage) are some of the main attractions nearby.
Tunel, the underground funicular running since 1875, is about a 10-minute walk from the site. Guests can also take the metro from Taksim square to explore the rest of Istanbul.
8 House Residence is 20 km from the Istanbul Ataturk Airport.

DO NOT BOOK, apartments are managed by scam artists. You book an apartment in one place and then you are placed in another building in another street, saying it is the only apartment available!! The apartments in the this building are dirty, completely run down with mold everywhere. I have pictures to prove this!!!!
Ups... I just read your review. To be honest I came two days ago from 8 House apartment and I did not have any problem at all (just a little misunderstanding with the cleaner because she though we had to check out a day before we actually had to). Ipek was nice. As soon as we arrived she called me and said a guy would come to the place to give us the pass for internet and to see if we needed something. Our kettle was not working and he changed it for another one straight away. Everything was very clean (and we have been in a few places both in Istanbul and other turkish cities). The apartment was lovely decorated, next to Europa Plaza and the British Consulate. It is true is in the limit of Tarlabasi, but it is the last street of the neighbourhood so you do not feel any threat at all. We wish we could have get this apartment before!
Save the trouble, there are tons of better places, pick anywhere, they are bad, private-run operation, with NO license, NO experience, and NO respect for international standards. There will be trouble, almost every person during my 15 day stay was have issues. Management act like dictators, if you pay CASH get a receipt, BUT if you are smart you will go to another residence.
The pillows are dirty, we got bed bugs, and our rooms was searched several times, if we didn't pay in advance we would have left, - WISH we COULD never stayed there.
NOT SAFE, PASS this Place, STAFF ENTERS ROOMS, they will move your luggage to another room, I paid cash in-advance, the GIRL "Ipek" is her name ripped me off for two days, moved my room, there was knocking on door all the time. Building is NOT safe area, check TARLA-BAS it is slums of Istanbul, prostitutes, dark passage ways and drugs dealers, everywhere. For the safety of you children and your belongings , PASS this Place, Its not worth it, the keys to all the rooms are common left outside, I have learned that they have several visits from POLICE.
