A private 450-seat theatre, founded in 1968 by Yıldız Kenter, one of Turkish theatre's leading actresses. Here, the City Players (Kent Oyuncuları) perform two or three plays a year, usually classics by the likes of Shakespeare and Chekhov. Performances usually star Yıldız Kenter and tend towards the old-fashioned and earnest.
