Time Out says

Over the years since it was established in 2006, Laundry went from being the go-to live music venue in the city (especially during the Crossborders regional music series days) to a bar overshadowed by The Bees and the No Black Ties of the world. A recent cosmetic facelift and reinvention aim to bring back the glory days to Laundry, with a new retro-chic aesthetic heralding the return of a more consistent music-driven format.

The hangout spot’s profile as a burgeoning gig central is set to be boosted by its eclectic list of local and international acts, especially if last month’s lineup is any indication. The Thursday live music nights saw highly regarded local outfits Paladin, Pitihati and Think! Tadpole! Think! joining the likes of Portland electro-pop group Yacht on the Laundry stage in May. If covers of popular chart-toppers from the ’50s to present are more to your liking, catch energetic quartet Mad Sally during Laundry’s Cover Me Wednesdays. Wong Boon Ken
