We don’t know what’s going to happen with the proposed hike in aviation charges, but we do know a bargain when we see one. Vietnamese airline VietJetAir is now flying from KL to Ho Chi Minh City and back daily, and to commemorate the inaugural flight, they are having a zero fare promotion.
Okay, now for the fine print: While the promotion does promise fares of RM0, you’ll still have to pay the VAT, airport charges and other surcharges. The best part: There are 50,000 of these promo tickets that start from zero fare. The daily flight departs at 1pm and arrives at Ho Chi Minh City at 1.55pm local time, while the return flight departs Ho Chi Minh City at 9.30am local time and arrives in KL at 12.25pm; flight time is approximately one hour and 55 minutes.
Book now until April 18 (only between 1pm and 3pm) and you might just land yourself a really cheap deal for the KL-Ho Chi Minh City route (travel between June 1 and October 30, excluding public holidays).
