If you've religiously attended the annual Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta, you can now pick and choose at leisure when you want to go on your hot air balloon ride. Starting this November, Myballoon Adventure offers daily sunrise rides from the Putrajaya city centre. That’s right, instead of a mundane start to your day, you’ll be seeing the sunrise on a hot air balloon. Provided you wake up early enough.

All the way up in the balloon, you’ll see an aerial view of Putrajaya's landmarks such as the Wawasan Bridge, the Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque, Persiaran Putra, the Palace of Justice and the city's lakes and buildings. Well, that’s if the haze lets up soon. Wish earnestly for clear skies by November or else you’d be paying a pretty penny to see smog and faint outlines of buildings.

The standard package (RM850 per person) includes a 45- to 60-minute balloon ride, complimentary pre- and post-ride breakfast and a certificate. You can opt for an in-ride photo (RM45) and a time lapse video of the balloon ride that includes Google Maps and GPS tracking (RM150). If the price tag didn’t get you thinking darkly about your paltry pay cheque, try the full-board service (RM1,000 per person) that includes all features in the standard package, but with pick-up and return services to your hotel. For an elevated experience (lucky you, you bearer of wealth), the premium service (RM1,150 per person) includes all features in the full-board service and a premium gift box.
