What are your hopes for the country? Together with eight young Malaysians, Niki Cheong’s latest project asks Malaysians to tell their stories and hopes for Malaysia with the hashtag #seedingMYhope.

The group ‘hijacked’ the LRT trains last Merdeka Day with 50 young Malaysians to give out pots of seeds, sing national songs with Chelsia Ng, and to decorate the train with balloons and banners. Look forward to more shenanigans like these during the Kakiseni International Arts Festival and add your piece to the project with the hashtag. The project will also collect soil from all 13 states in Malaysia to symbolise unity. #seedingMYhope is an extension of Niki’s previous projects 50x50 My Malaysia and Lima Puluh Tujuh.
