Monday Movies at Publika: Korkoro

Based on a true story, the film sees Little Claude – a young boy seeking a new family after his parents 'left and never returned' – as he joins an extended Gypsy family traveling the French roads during World War II. Upon reaching a town where they traditionally stop for a few months and work in vineyards, they learn that a new law forbids them from being nomadic. Despite getting help and support from the town's mayor and a school teacher, the family still gets arrested and placed in an internment camp.
