Anyone familiar with the tapas scene in KL would have heard of La Bodega, Malaysia’s grand matriarch of Spanish cuisine. La Bodega has been responsible for introducing authentic tapas culture since 1999.
Its warm welcoming atmosphere has seduced a rather dedicated and discerning crowd of regulars, and is one of the most established gathering spots for meeting old friends and making new ones. The friendly staff will talk you through the tapas menu; start with the chorizo, tiger prawns or eggplant braised in olive oil, chilli and herbs. The paella valenciana mixta is very popular with its collection of fresh seafood able to put a smile on anyone’s face. For a bar-bistro, La Bodega also surprisingly has one of the best breakfast menus in town. Not to worry about the lil ones, the kitchen can cater to their needs or tailor the burgers or pastas to their liking. While Mum and Dad sip on their wine, kids can busy themselves drawing with colour pencils provided by the staff.
