Not to be confused with Def Jam Recordings’ executive vice president, Amsterdam-based duo No_ID is heading for international waters, and they’ll be here on our shores this month. The team kicked off in 2008 when they won the Amsterdam Dance Event Contest with one of their first tracks, ‘Wurld’. Not long after that, their projects were released on noted labels such as Armada Music, Diffused Music and Ultra Records supported by the likes of Axwell, Tiesto, Mark Knight and Michael Woods.
2012 was a solid, productive year for No_ID. It began when they caused quite the internet buzz following the launch of ‘Nothing Left to Lose’. This bite sized fame spurt led to the release of two more recordings, ‘Sex Sells EP’ and the recent ‘How R U Feeling Right Now’. They were also personally invited by Swedish House Mafia to remix for Axtone on Henrik B’s ‘Leave a Light On’ featuring Rudy, and Thomas Gold’s ‘Sing2Me’.
The duo is constantly looking to surprise audiences in their sets; expect no less than fresh and haphazard progressive house with a tinge of pulsating trance this night. Just remember to actually bring your ID. Jay Chooi
