Ah Wang Bah Kut Teh

There’s a row of shops on Old Klang Road, all peddling their own versions of bah kut teh. But the best one, in our opinion, is closest to the Taman Desa turnoff. Don’t be scared, it looks like a refugee camp but it’s well worth venturing under the zinc roof to park yourself down on a plastic stool and order a pot of rich, meat-laden bah kut teh. The translucent broth is dense with porky flavor, best eaten with white rice and a liberal helping of garlic. Try dipping crisp circles of yau char kuey in the soup and drop the whole soggy mess in your mouth before it falls apart.
