Comic book lovers, if you aren’t too fussy about food as long as it comes with emblems of your favourite DC superhero, you’re at the right place. DC Comics Super Heroes Café in Sunway Putra Mall opened March this year with much fanfare, bringing in hordes of comic geeks eager to have Batman sandwiches and lattes. The café is right next to the DC Comics Super Heroes retail outlet, so you can shop for shirts and merchandise after your superhero meal.
Most of the food and drinks here come with some sort of superhero logo, like the Superman latte art and cheese topping on the Batman Hawaiian pizza. A word of caution: Coming here for lunch means a long wait (think close to an hour) for your food. Space is pretty tight in both the smoking and non-smoking sections so once again, head here after peak hours.
Menu-wise, they offer drinks such as sodas, ice blends, shakes, coffee and tea. Sandwiches, burgers and pizzas make up the mains menu. For dessert, pick from gelato, pancakes and waffles. Food might not be spectacular, but the superhero theme can be a thrill for fans. For example, tables and chairs are emblazoned with the Batman logo, comic book posters adorn the wall, and cans of vitamin drinks pop with superhero artwork at the counter. The bust of a grim-looking Batman just begs a selfie.
