Time Out says

Based on the theme 'Democracy: Participate, Advocate, Change', the two-day festival will feature a selection of over 20 short films from Palestine, Burma, Africa and more, starting off with the critically acclaimed documentary, '5 Broken Cameras', which won the World Cinema Directing Award: Documentary at this year's Sundance Film Festival. Held together with the festival is also the annual FreedomFilmFest showcase on Saturday, in which you can watch screenings of the winning films and catch the awards ceremony. Read our interview with the winners here.

Other than the screenings there will be workshops to attend, exhibition booths to visit and goods for sale by NGOs and activists. The festival will also showcase the Freedom of Expression Cartoon Mural and photo exhibitions. Visit the Freedom Arts Festival event page for a full schedule of events and to register for the workshops.
